Holger Torp (Holger) > 26. october 2008 Hafragilsfoss The canyons of Jökulsá are one of the biggest canyons in Iceland and undeniably the most diverse in structure and form. They reach 25 km, the are 0,5 km wide and in many places well over a 100 meters. The canyons are said to have been forged in a catastrofic glacier burst leaving behind magnificent work of art chiseled out by Mother Nature.

Holger Torp (Holger) > 5. november. The older Reykholt Church was built in 1886-87. The church is a good example of the later kind of timber church with a tower. The church served until 1996, when the new church was consecrated. It came under the protection of the National Museum in 2001 and is now part of The National Museums collection of houses.

Holger Torp (Holger) > 6. november 2008 Hraunfossar in Borgafjörður. A little glimpse of the beautiful and spectacular waterfalls. In contrast to e.g. Dettifoss (27. october) these waterfalls are low and with much less water - clear water, but each of the 900 meters they span has something special to it when you look closer. The long exposure here was meant to emphasize the movement of the water and the contrasting clear colors both in the rocks and the stream.
